Description
-----------

NAScan is a VDR channel scanner specifically designed to deal with the
idiosyncrasies of various North American satellite providers.

Installation
------------

Make sure to copy all the files in the "config" directory into

           <VDR's config directory>/plugins/nascan/

and edit them according to your needs.

Output
------

There are two output options: "by source" and "single file".

By source: One file will be created per source named "channels-.conf".
The channels will not be sorted and the "number" script will not be
           used.

Single file: All channels found during the scan will be written to a single
file named "channels.conf". Channels will be sorted by the number
             obtained from the "number" script.

Notes
-----

- VDR must not be set to update names (Setup -> DVB -> Update channels) or
else long channel names and the provider name will be lost.

- Setting the SDT, NIT or PMT timeouts to 0 will disable them entirely.
However, if no data is received, the user will have to cancel the scan.

- Modulations cannot be correctely reported with VDR 1.6.0 or lower. All
transponders will be listed as QPSK.
